Job Summary
The Tsartlip First Nation is pleased to invite qualified applicants to apply to the permanent, full-time Maternal Child Health Worker position in the Health & Social Department. The Maternal Child Health Worker supports activities focused on early childhood learning and development for First Nation’s children from birth to age 12 and their families. Education and Experience
- Diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education preferred; and
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a daycare or other ECE environment;
- Experience working with parent-child programs and solid understanding of child development (birth to age 12);
- Experience implementing curriculum and achieving outcomes an asset;
- Knowledge of the W̱SÁNEĆ culture and SENĆOŦEN language an asset;
- Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certificate;
- Possession of a valid WHMIS certificate;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle plus a clean driver’s abstract and appropriate insurance;
- Valid Child Safe first aid and CPR certificate as per the funding requirements;
- Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector required
