The Tsartlip First Nation is pleased to invite qualified applicants to apply to the permanent, full-time Maternal Child Health Worker position in the Health & Social Department. The Maternal Child Health Worker supports activities focused on early childhood learning and development for First Nation’s children from birth to age 12 and their families. • Diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education preferred; and
• Minimum 1 year experience working in a daycare or other ECE environment;
• Experience working with parent-child programs and solid understanding of child development (birth to age 12);
• Experience implementing curriculum and achieving outcomes an asset;
• Knowledge of the W̱SÁNEĆ culture and SENĆOŦEN language an asset;
• Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certificate;
• Possession of a valid WHMIS certificate;
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle plus a clean driver’s abstract and appropriate insurance;
• Valid Child Safe first aid and CPR certificate as per the funding requirements;
• Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector required
