JOB SEARCH FORM

Each month, Social Assistance clients are required to complete a job search form to be eligible for assistance. The following form has been designed so that clients can complete their form online, which will then be submitted directly to the Social Development Department.

Please complete this form with all required information and press “Submit” when complete.

Examples of Work Search Activities:

  • Preparing (e.g. drafting, typing, photocopying) resumes and/or cover letters
  • Calling employers to ask about hiring and employers
  • Fact-finding interviews
  • Responding to newspaper and internet ads (e.g. Craigslist job postings, Monster.ca, BCjobs, Workopolis, LinkedIn, WorkBC, etc.)
  • Networking with friends, relatives, neighbours, previous employers, colleagues, or other social contacts
  • Submitting job applications
  • Submitting letters and/or resumes for employment
  • Going to job interviews
  • Attending workshops for resume preparation or job search
