Good Afternoon Tsartlip First Nation Social Assistance Clients.
There are a few things that are happening in the month of March.
On March 14th all Social Assistance clients will receive a top up, this is to help families out through spring break.
If you receive direct deposit you should see the deposit on March 14th, if you receive cheque your cheque will be ready on the March 14th.
I have just received news about Rogers internet and cellphone service giving deals for those on social assistance, if this is something you are interested in please call and set up a time to get the form from Shyanne as these forms need to be done for each individual person, and only to the person who is on social assistance and if the bill is under your name.
Annual renewal has come, I am fixing files and am hoping to have it all ready for all clients in April 2025, with this you will need to update your banking information, your hydro and tax assessments. I will be in contact with clients that do need to update their files.
It is now tax time and we are working on getting the shoal center to come in and do taxes for clients again this year, if you are interested in using this tax service please do call or email us and leave your current phone number so we can call you to let you know what days they are coming in. As well, I do have the 2024 T5’s ready and available for clients at the office.
New clients, if you are in need of social assistance and would like to set up a time to come in please call or email Katherine Sam. There will be a list of things you need to bring in for your first meeting, so to avoid delay or what feels like the run around it is easier to call or email first.
Declarations and hydro bills are due March 18th 2025.
