Bio:
HK, aka “Higher Knowledge”, is a Hip Hop artist and Youth Worker residing in Western Canada. Ancestrally he has Indigenous roots from Kuskatan(Western El Salvador) as well as Collasayu(Chile) in Central/South America.
HK grew up as a product of intergenerational trauma, war, foster care, gangs, and effects of colonial genocide. Despite these hardships, he has beat all odds to become a successful artist on his healing journey as he regularly does shows across BC, Canada, and now United States! In 2023 his album “The Knowledge of Good and Evil” was nominated for album of the year at the International Indigenous Hip Hop Awards and his songs collectively have amassed tens of thousands of streams/views across all platforms.
“Higher Knowledge” is not a claim of intelligence or ego. It’s a way of life, an effort to constantly strive for wisdom and growth, it’s about being the eternal student of life and the path of the warrior!
