Designed by Habitat Play Systems, the new playground will feature two play areas; one designed for children 5-12 years old and one for younger children from toddler ages to age 4. 

The climbing and sliding toys will be surrounded by planters which will be seeded with native plants as well as vegetables and fruit, irrigated with a built-in irrigation system, and protected by deer fencing.

Following a land blessing scheduled for later this week, led by the Charlie family from Tseycum and attended by Tsartlip Health Staff, construction will begin on the new playground next month. 

The installation of the main playground equipment is scheduled for mid-March with the intention of realizing completion by April, assuming COVID-related delays do not impede the progress of the project.
