Tsartlip Annual Spring Cleanup Week Planned

Over the winter, between flooding and garbage pickup delays, there has been an increase in the reports of pests like rats and cockroaches present in the community..

In order to rid the community of these pests, prevent unnecessary maintenance to houses and buildings, and improve the look of the community, Tsartlip’s is preparing for its Annual Spring Cleanup Week which will be happening from May 5th to 10th this year

In partnership with the BC First Nations Recycling Initiative, Tsartlip will be offering recycling for unwanted items like tires, appliances, paper and packaging, electronics, beverage containers, batteries, power equipment, and health products.

A drop-off and collection station will be provided along with a vehicle with lifts to help dispose of heavy and bulky items.

This initiative is intended to support the community as a whole to get rid of the debris that attracts pests. Volunteers will be needed. Please email capitalprojects@tsartlip.com if you’d like to add this great event to your resume or work experience.
