The Royal BC Museum is hiring a Head of Indigenous Collections and Repatriations (ICAR), please share widely.

The Indigenous Collections and Repatriation (ICAR) Department provides access to and stewardship of Indigenous collections, supports community capacity building where requested, facilitates the repatriation of ancestral remains and the transfer of cultural property at the request of communities.

The Head of ICAR over sees the department, ensures exceptional stewardship of the museum’s collections through strong personal advocacy and the effective management of both teams and projects. The Head of ICAR also oversees the preparations for a collection move to a new Collection and Research Building, scheduled for 2025.
