HEAD START PROGRAM

The Head Start program serves families with children birth to six years old. Weekly programs are offered to families with infant to toddler and children aged four to school-age.

The pandemic has shifted how the Head Start Program offers its services. In the current situation, the Head Start Program is offering services from a distance. We are providing at-home activity kits for children and weekly hot lunch to families who were participating prior to the pandemic close.

The Head Start Facebook page also offers stories in SENĆOŦEN, resource information for parents and activity ideas for kids.

Head Start Core Components Include:

  • Education

  • Nutrition
  • Health Promotion
  • Social Support
  • Culture & Language
  • Parental/Family Involvement
