The Community Services Department is the Nation’s largest and most diverse interdisciplinary team. Under its umbrella are the Health, Children, Youth and Families, Social Development, Employment and Training, and Language Departments. Led by Emily Doehnel, the Community Services Department’s dedicated staff work in partnership with Tsartlip members, Tsartlip leadership, and external partners to offer the resources and support needed to foster individual, family, and community health and well-being. Key partnerships which support and sustain the Department’s programs include Indigenous Services Canada, First Nations Health Authority, Island Health, South Island Division of Family Practice, NIȽ TU,O Child and Family Services, South Island Wellness Society, Coast Salish Employment and Training Society, 4 Pillars Society and many more.
