Community Tree Planting

We have a partnership with Camosun to offer the Trades Sampler Program, a fantastic initiative aimed at providing a comprehensive exploration of various trades, career paths, and industry demands. This 12-week program, scheduled from January 8th to March 28th, is designed to help individuals gain insights into trades such as Automotive, Carpentry, Electrical, Fine Furniture, Plumbing, Professional Cooking, and Sheet Metal.

Program Highlights:

– Duration: January 8th to March 28th (12 weeks)

– Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3 pm

– Funding: Provided through our partnership with Camosun and SkilledTrades BC.

What Participants Will Learn:

Participants will engage in both classroom and hands-on shop experiences, delving into trades while understanding safety practices and training. The program covers essential aspects such as tuition, student fees, personal protection equipment, and a lunch supplement.

Who Can Apply:

This program is open to eligible Indigenous individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. It serves as an excellent opportunity for those aged 16 and older to explore trades as an educational or career path.

Application Process:

To apply for the program, interested individuals can contact me directly to obtain the application form. I am available to discuss funding options and answer any questions may have. After obtaining the form from me, applicants will meet with a Camosun coordinator to complete the form and submit the application in person to the Camosun Admissions Office.
