Tsartlip Boat Ramp Is Closed For The Season
Hi my name is Mariah Vega (she/her), I am in my fourth year of nursing school at the University of Victoria. I feel very blessed to have grown up on the traditional territories of the Qualicum First Nations, and am now living on the Esquimalt First Nations territory with my boyfriend, roommate, two dogs (Gabby/Tito), and cat (Jake). A couple things I love are being out in nature and spending time with family/friends. This semester we are taking a course on leadership in nursing and I am very grateful to be doing this at the Tsartlip Health Centre over the next couple months. The areas of nursing I am interested in are global/environmental/public/community health. This program has given me so many opportunities to foster self-growth and reflection around who I am and what I want to contribute to the community, as a citizen and future nurse. I hope to bring forward my curious mind and great love/respect for all living things. I enjoy learning and hope to bring this passion into my nursing practice, where I can encourage others to be informed in their heath and take action in getting what they need. I hope to meet each of you during my time here in the community. I feel fortunate to be working with such an incredible group at the Tsartlip Health Centre.
